Our Vision To make a difference in environmental stewardship by providing high quality land and resource information, from landscape level inventories to strategic land use frameworks to operational management plans, that address the environmental, social and economic values of society, ensuring that future generations have a healthy environment to live in and sustainable resources to live by. From his days as a university student studying forest ecology and other earth and social sciences, our founder, Terry Smith, has maintained an integrated perspective of managing resources and the environment, believing that each component or value, including social and economic, is interdependent and inseparably linked to the others. This perspective is reflected in our structure. Our History Silvatech Consulting Ltd was established in 1982 to provide forest land management services in British Columbia, Canada. Since then Silvatech has added mapping, land base inventory, environmental and land use planning teams in its evolution to the Silvatech Group. We also have strategic alliances with other environmental, social and economic experts. Service centers include Salmon Arm and Smithers British Columbia, Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta as well as Thunder Bay, Ontario.
